Reply: Interestingly, this book also does not use the mainstream Bibles as a default. Right above the ISBN, in the opening pages, it says, "Scripture quotations are the author's translation of the Greek and Hebrew, unless otherwise noted."
WHAT! Did Dr. Walter Martin, then director of the CRI consider himself superior to "such great scholars as Wycliffe and Tyndale, not to mention the hundreds of brilliant, consecrated Christian men who produced the King James, American Standard, and New American Standard versions of the Bible.
