The tiny blurb on Amazon reads: "The New Testament, translated into English from the Greek New Testament, United Bible Societies, Third Edition, by Clyde C. Wilton, Pastor Emeritus of the Emmanuel Baptist Church, Bryan, Texas."

His preface states that he used 20 different versions, the Septuagint, the Vulgate and Greek texts. The Index also includes how many words were used.

Here are some examples of this rather good New Testament:

This New Testament does not use gender inclusive language.

He uses Gehenna at Matthew 5:22.

"Hades" is used at Matthew 16:18.

"Age" is used for AIWNOS.

The longer and shorter ending is used at the end of Mark.

"and the Word was divine" is used at John 1:1c.

"the only begotten of God" is used at John 1:18

The woman taken in adultery is included at John 8.

"through the blood of his own Son" is used at Acts 20:28

Romans 9:5 does not ascribe deity to the Messiah.

"Effeminate" and "sodomites" are used at 1 Cor. 6:9

Php 2:6 has "He did not think that equality with God was something to be grasped."

Col. 2:9 uses "deity" instead of "Godhead."

2 Tim. 3:16 uses "God-breathed."

Hebrews 1:1 has "In times past. God spoke to our fathers through the prophets in many ways and with many methods of disclosure."

"Gloomy dungeons" is used in place of Tartarus at 2 Peter 2:4.

This is, overall a great work and it is far better than most Bible versions released these days.
